Pulse

  • For hating websites... I sure seem to be making a lot of them and spending an inordinate amount of time on them. <,< /le sigh~~~~
  • Crud. I have a great idea for a photoshoot, but I can't find odorless cigs that still smoke. May hve to shoot outdoors w/ a mask on.
  • Yay... Another all-nighter... <,< Oh well. Let the "new day" begin. Time for a shower, then more work. C'est le vie.

  • Chicago at Night: Ontario and Clark Street

Went tripping around downtown Chicago last Sunday night. T'was fun. We ended up on the corner of Ontario and Clark.... here are some of the pics that developed.

We turned around once, and saw this really weird/COOL thing sitting behind us. I wanna know what it is... any ideas?

While taking pictures inside the HUGE mecca of fast food... we ran into some Europeans.
The M/F couple at the back are German, next to them are the Italian couple, and then my Poppy in the foreground... he looks so cute. :)

And then, for some reason McDonalds added these fake orchids to the side bars... rather peculiar. I luv the hair clips holding them together along the stem. :) Ha!

About Me

  • I am a 20ish female university student. I graduate the end of December 2008. Yay! I am intensely interested in foreign cultures. I am currently learning Chinese with Traditional writing as opposed to Simplified. I have been introduced to the basics of Pinyin, and I have become familiar with the Taiwanese phonics characters and sounds. However, I still have a LOOONG way to go before I'm proficient. My goal for the next few years is to continue my Chinese studies in Taiwan for two years. Then move to Korea for a year or two in order to improve my Korean speaking. After I have become fairly proficient in both languages, I will find a job in my fields of Digital Media and International&Intercultural Studies. *yay* I also want to continue my study of the Japanese language. Currently I am planning to be in Asia for the next 10 years. (Approx. Aug. 2009, until December 2019.) God Bless!

Cantonese or not, I don't have to be able to understand her songs to appreciate them... thankfully. What
  • JayTrinh
ryc: lol yes, it's Cantonese. The song is called Ming Zhi Gu Fan by Mavis Hee. It's too bad there's no 'reply button' on audio posts :P

Remember when you were driving alone down a busy street and you were singing a Mandarin song at the top of your lungs with the windows down? HAHA The crowded street of Asians all looked at you as if suggesting that you're mocking them lmao! :D

Remember that time I put that personal ad in the paper? The one that read, "I like midnight strolls in the falling snow down softly lit city streets wearing matching mittens, scarf and hat whilst discussing '1984' and the evils of icy sidewalks." ROFL ^_-
